In 2008, I gained admittance as a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians. It was the culmination of several years of hard work and the realisation of a dream for me.

Recently promoted in my other job, I work for Mills & Co., on a part-time basis.

As well as bookkeeping and preparing accounts, I get to road test all the accounting software as it's released. As well as Sage, I work with QuickBooks, Money Manager, VT Transaction Plus, MYOB and many others.

Bookkeeping and accountancy are challenging and rewarding careers. I particularly enjoy working with small businesses. Our efforts can make a really positive contribution to the success of a business. What we do makes a difference - for me that is the definition of job satisfaction.
